Frequently Asked Questions

Is this split really free?

Yes, completely free with no hidden costs, no signup required, and no file size limits. Picxor runs entirely in your browser.

Does Picxor upload my files to a server?

No. Picxor processes all files entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your files never leave your device and are never uploaded to any server.

How do I specify which pages to split into each file?

Enter page ranges separated by commas. For example: 1-3, 5, 7-9 creates three output PDFs - pages 1 to 3, page 5 alone, and pages 7 to 9. You can also split every N pages (e.g. every 2 pages), or split into one PDF per page.

Can I split a PDF and then merge some parts back together?

Yes. Split your PDF into parts, download the ZIP, then use Picxor's PDF Merge tool to combine the specific parts you want in any order. This workflow is useful for reorganizing large documents.

Is there a file size limit?

Picxor can handle files up to 100MB. Very large files may take longer as processing happens in your browser. For files over 50MB, closing other browser tabs helps.
