Picxor uses a machine learning model called @imgly/background-removal that runs entirely in your browser via WebAssembly. The first time you use it, the model downloads to your browser (about 5MB) and is cached for future use. Your image data never leaves your device.
After removing the background you can download a transparent PNG, replace the background with any solid color, or use a blurred version of the original image as the background. The transparent PNG option is ideal for logos and product photos.
